Clinical Professor
Carla Nye, D.N.P., RN, CPNP-BC, CNE, CHSE, serves as a Clinical Professor in the Department of Adult Health and Nursing Systems at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Nursing. Her academic career spans teaching, research, and national leadership in advancing nurse practitioner education through evidence-based practices and innovative clinical training models. She maintains active roles in curriculum development and professional service at institutional and national levels. Current projects include leading an HRSA-funded initiative to improve provider wellness through organizational change and validating the Nurse Practitioner Student Competency Assessment Tool (NPSCA).
