Lecturer
Petros Terzis is a Lecturer in Digital Law at The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London. He is also an Honorary Fellow at University College London (UCL) and a Fellow at the University of Amsterdam’s Institute for Information Law (IViR). His research focuses on the intersection of law, technology, and political economy, particularly in areas like AI regulation, computational infrastructures, and health data governance. Terzis holds a PhD in Information Law from the University of Winchester and a Master’s in Law and Economics from the University of Macedonia. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and has taught courses on technology law at institutions including LSE, UCL, and the University of Amsterdam. Key areas include the governance of quantum computing standards, algorithmic auditing under the EU’s Digital Services Act, and the ethical and legal challenges of health data reuse in clinical trials. His work critiques the balance between private interests and public good in digital infrastructures. Professional Contributions: Petros has contributed to policy projects on privacy-preserving technologies for public health in Kenya and Côte d’Ivoire, and has advised on the European Health Data Space (EHDS) regulation. He has also held postdoctoral fellowships at UCL and the University of Amsterdam, focusing on computational infrastructures and quantum technologies.
