Christine Osterloh-Konrad is a Professor holding the Chair of Civil Law, Commercial and Corporate Law, Tax Law, and Legal Philosophy at the Faculty of Law, Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen since April 2018. Her academic career includes previous positions at the Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance in Munich, where she served as a Research Fellow from 2008 to 2018, and as a Lecturer at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She completed her habilitation at LMU Munich in 2017, focusing on tax avoidance from comparative and theoretical perspectives. Her research interests span across Civil Law, particularly Inheritance Law from both national and international perspectives; Corporate Law with emphasis on partnerships; and Tax Law with a focus on corporate taxation, tax avoidance, and constitutional frameworks for taxation. Methodologically, her work emphasizes comparative legal analysis, especially regarding French, US, British, and Italian legal systems.
