Professor
Professor Sabur Mollah is a Chair in Financial Management at Sheffield University Management School . Previously, he served as Professor of Accounting and Finance at Swansea University and Professor of Finance at the University of Hull. He founded the Academy of Sustainable Finance, Accounting, Accountability & Governance (ASFAAG) and is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Sustainable Finance and Accounting . PhD in Finance, University of Leeds Docent in Business Administration (Corporate Finance), Stockholm University MCOM Finance (1st Class), University of Dhaka BCOM (Hons) Finance (1st Class), University of Dhaka His research spans FinTech, sustainable finance, environmental innovation, climate risk governance, board gender diversity, and responsible banking . He explores climate finance , EDI in the boardroom , and green banking , with a focus on Islamic banks, corporate governance, and global financial markets. His work addresses CO2 emissions outsourcing , net-zero targets , and child labor in supply chains . Recent publications analyze microfinance interest rates , director connectedness and bank risk , digital transformation's impact on operational risk , and board diversity in Islamic banking . His work appears in top journals like the Journal of Accounting and Economics and Journal of Financial Stability . Scientific leadership roles include: Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Sustainable Finance and Accounting President, Academy of Sustainable Finance, Accounting, Accountability & Governance (ASFAAG) He has supervised doctoral research on topics like AI and labor equilibrium , corporate climate activism , and bank risk governance .
