Dr. Joanne Mampaso Desbrow is a Professor at the School of Education, Camilo José Cela University (UCJC), specializing in Educational Psychology. With a PhD in Developmental and Educational Psychology from UCJC (2010), she brings over 17 years of teaching experience across various educational levels and centers. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Psychopedagogy from UCJC (2004) and a Diploma in Special Education Teaching from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2001). She is accredited as Assistant Professor, Contracted Professor, and Private University Professor by the Agency for Quality, Accreditation and Foresight of the Universities of Madrid (2011). Dr. Desbrow's research focuses on educational policies for vulnerable populations and inclusive innovation in addressing diversity. Her work spans Visual Arts Education, communication skills development, university accessibility, and inclusion strategies for students with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. She has published extensively on these topics, with over 20 articles in the last five years examining stigma reduction, digital literacy for students with disabilities, and creative educational interventions. Her scientific contributions have been recognized with multiple awards including the Best Paper Award at the 8th International Conference on Education and Information Systems (2010), an award for excellent teaching practices within the Bologna process framework (2009-2010), and the I3 Teaching Innovation Award from Camilo José Cela University (2016-17).
