Prof. Dr. Matthias Kadler is the Chair of Astronomy at the Institute of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics , University of Würzburg. His research focuses on black holes and relativistic jets in active galaxies, using multiwavelength observations (radio to gamma-ray) and Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI). Chair of Astronomy, University of Würzburg (since 2011) Co-Program Manager of the TANAMI Collaboration Member of the Fermi/LAT Science Working Group Research Interests: Formation and collimation of relativistic jets Multiwavelength studies of TeV-emitting AGN Neutrino emission from blazars High-redshift blazar populations Recent Scientific Trends from his articles include: millimeter-VLBI jet imaging, gamma-ray flares at cosmic dawn (z>4), and neutrino correlations with AGN flaring. His work bridges astrophysics and astroparticle physics through projects like TELAMON and ANTARES. Awards and Funding: 2007 Otto-Hahn Medal (Max Planck Society) NRC Associateship (2005) and NASA Postdoctoral Fellow (2006-2008) Advisory Roles: Chair of the ANTARES Institution Board and Conference Committee. Collaborations include KM3NeT, Fermi/LAT, and VLBA/LBA VLBI arrays.
