Professor Fulvio Melia is a distinguished academic at the University of Arizona, holding the rank of Professor in Physics, Applied Mathematics, and Astronomy. His primary affiliation is with the Department of Physics, where he leads research in theoretical cosmology and black hole physics. Melia is also affiliated with Melbourne University as a Professorial Fellow and the Chinese Academy of Sciences as a Distinguished Visiting Professor. His research focuses on cosmological models like the R_h=ct Universe, challenging standard ΛCDM paradigms through high-precision observational data. Key projects include the Event Horizon Telescope, aiming to image Sagittarius A*, the Milky Way's central black hole. Melia has authored six acclaimed books, including Cracking the Einstein Code and The Cosmic Spacetime , which explore black hole physics and cosmological spacetime structures. Awarded the 2009 PROSE Award and recognized by leading journals, Melia’s work bridges theoretical physics with observational astronomy. His publications span cosmological tests, gravitational lensing, and the interplay between general relativity and quantum mechanics. Ongoing contributions address cosmic inflation, dark matter, and the Hubble tension through model comparisons and redshift drift measurements.
