Dr. Rebecca Mancy is a Senior Lecturer in Culture, Literacies, Inclusion & Pedagogy at the University of Glasgow, with affiliations in the School of Biodiversity, One Health & Veterinary Medicine and the School of Health & Wellbeing. Her interdisciplinary background includes a BSc in Mathematics (University of Warwick) and two PhDs (Education and Computing Science) from Glasgow University. She has held roles in software engineering and academic research. Her research bridges ecology, epidemiology, and education. In ecological studies, she applies theoretical models to human/non-human population dynamics, including disease persistence mechanisms (e.g., rabies) and biodiversity conservation. She supervises four current PhD students and has guided 14 to completion, spanning life sciences, education, and social sciences.
