Mohamed Shehata is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics at the University of British Columbia's Irving K. Barber Faculty of Science. He holds an adjunct professorship at Memorial University of Newfoundland's Computer Engineering Department. His research focuses on computer vision, biomedical applications, and intelligent camera systems. He earned his B.Sc. (Zagazig University), M.Sc. (Zagazig University), Ph.D. (University of Calgary), and P.Eng. licensure. Previously, he worked at Intelliview Technologies Inc. as Vice President of Engineering and Research.
