Assistant Professor
Plamena Atanasova Marinova-Dragozova serves as Chief Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics at the Faculty of Forest Industry, University of Forestry, Sofia, Bulgaria, where she has been a faculty member since 2018. Her academic credentials include: Graduation in Plasma Physics from Sofia University 'St. Kliment Ohridski' (2014) PhD in Plasma Physics and Gas Discharges from Sofia University 'St. Kliment Ohridski' (2020) Her research specializes in low-temperature plasma physics , with emphasis on computational modeling, optical spectroscopic analysis, and practical implementations of plasma technologies. She actively develops applications bridging plasma science with sustainable solutions in biomedical, agricultural, and environmental domains, focusing particularly on how plasma discharges interact with biological systems and natural materials relevant to forestry sciences. Her work demonstrates strong interdisciplinary connections between fundamental physics and real-world ecological challenges. She leads Physics seminars for undergraduate students at the Faculty of Forest Industry, integrating plasma physics concepts with practical forestry applications through hands-on laboratory instruction.
