Alok Gupta holds the Curtis L. Carlson Chair in Information Management at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota . He is a Professor in the Department of Information and Decision Sciences , with a career spanning over 25 years. From 2006–2014, he served as Department Chair, and as Senior Associate Dean of Faculty, Research and Administration until 2024. He has published over 90 journal articles, including 50+ in premier journals like Management Science , Information Systems Research , and MIS Quarterly . Recent publications highlight trends in experimental economics , online auctions , information feedback mechanisms , and smart market design . His work bridges information systems , economic modeling , and artificial intelligence .
