Dr. Xuehong He is a Lecturer in Applied Linguistics at Swansea University's School of Culture and Communication. She holds a Ph.D. in Second Language Studies from Michigan State University. Her research focuses on Instructed Second Language Acquisition, Second Language Vocabulary Acquisition, and Second Language Psycholinguistics, employing cognitive and psycholinguistic methodologies such as eye-tracking. Education: Ph.D. in Second Language Studies (Michigan State University, USA), teaching experience in the U.S. and Japan. Research Interests: Cognitive approaches to vocabulary learning, technology-enhanced language instruction, and individual differences in language acquisition. Her work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical pedagogical applications. Supervision: Currently guiding two PhD students exploring AI feedback in EFL classrooms and corrective feedback efficacy in university learners. Labs/Teams: Active contributor to the School's Applied Linguistics research cluster, focusing on second language acquisition methodologies.
