Dr. Shaun McCarthy is an Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Legal Research at the University of Newcastle's School of Law and Justice . With an unrestricted practising certificate from the Law Society of NSW, he serves as Program Convenor for the Practical Legal Training Program and has been admitted as a solicitor in both the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia.
