Jason Li-Ying is a Professor and Head of Research at the Centre for Technology Entrepreneurship at Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He is also a visiting professor at the University of Management and Economics (ISM) in Lithuania and a faculty member of the DTU Executive School of Business and the Eurotech Universities' Innovation Economics PhD program. His research focuses on technology & innovation management, strategic management, and technology transfer, with particular emphasis on SMEs, digital business models, and Big Science facilities like the European Spallation Source (ESS). He has published over 76 academic articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Technovation , Technology Analysis and Strategic Management , and Business Strategy and the Environment . His recent projects include exploring innovation at Big Science facilities, technology licensing dynamics, and digital business model innovation. He actively reviews for top journals including R&D Management and Research Policy . Jason advises innovative companies and supervises PhD students in areas like corporate-startup relationships, academic entrepreneurship, and innovation ecosystems. He also contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through research on business model innovation for societal impact.
