Melissa Ianetta is the Class of 1958 Professor of Communication and Executive Director of the Writing and Communication Program at the School of Literature, Media, and Communication, Georgia Institute of Technology . She has co-authored foundational texts like The Oxford Guide for Writing Tutors and received awards for editorial and leadership excellence. Education: PhD in Rhetoric and Composition, The Ohio State University Her research focuses on disciplinarity , peer tutoring , writing program administration , and academic editing , with a strong emphasis on rhetoric, communication, and pedagogical innovation. Her recent work explores postdoctoral teaching fellowships in English Studies and classical rhetorical models in writing center administration.
