Dr. Diane Levine is a Professor of Internal Medicine and holds multiple leadership roles at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. As director of Curricular Integration-Undergraduate Medical Education and clerkship director/vice chair for Medical Education in the Department of Internal Medicine, she focuses on enhancing medical education and clinical training. A 1982 graduate of Wayne State, she joined the faculty in 1992 as a voluntary member and became full-time in 2001. Her academic contributions include pioneering work in interprofessional education, patient safety initiatives, and innovative medical education curricula. Notable achievements include developing telemedicine training during the pandemic and creating residency boot camps to improve transition-to-practice outcomes. Dr. Levine has been recognized nationally for advancing healthcare equity, including the 2024 Great Internist of Michigan award and American College of Physicians Mastership for exceptional clinical and educational leadership.
