Lynn Larsen is a Professor and Program Director at the California School of Education, Alliant International University. She has a long-standing career in special education and teacher credentialing, with prior leadership roles at Brandman University (now UMass Global). She holds a Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Maryland and a master’s from Purdue University. Her work bridges academic leadership, research, and community engagement. Education: Ph.D. in Special Education, University of Maryland Master’s Degree, Purdue University Dr. Larsen's research focuses on program assessment, andragogy, and best practices in higher education, particularly within special education. She has developed and taught courses in special education pedagogy, literacy instruction, research methods, and curriculum design. Her scholarship emphasizes practical application and inclusive program development. Her recent publications and presentations explore hybrid teaching models, program evaluation, and inclusive pedagogical frameworks. These works reflect a strong commitment to innovation in teacher education and accessibility for students with disabilities. Scientific Awards: Volunteer of the Year 2024, Riverside Chamber of Commerce Dr. Larsen has secured significant grant funding, including co-authorship of the $11.5 million Copernicus Project funded by the U.S. Department of Education. She has also written multiple successful grants supporting university and district-level programs. She mentors students through the Odyssey of the Mind program and has coached teams to international finals. She founded Odyssey Inclusive, a specialized initiative for students with disabilities. She is actively involved in educational leadership, having served on numerous university committees and as Associate Dean. She also contributes to community development through the Riverside Chamber of Commerce and continues to shape policy and practice in special education.
