Maria Yang is a Professor and the William E. Leonhard Professor/Interim Dean of the School of Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), affiliated with the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Her research focuses on early stage design processes , design methods , and system-level engineering design , with applications spanning consumer products, complex systems, and sustainable technologies.
