Researcher
Emilie MULLER is a Researcher (CR2) at CNRS and the University of Strasbourg, holding an HDR in Functional Ecology of Microbial Communities. She leads the AIME team within the IPCB Institute, focusing on microbial adaptations in polluted environments and multi-omic integration. Her research spans functional genomics, microbial ecology, and bioremediation strategies for environmental pollutants like dichloromethane. Education: HDR (2020, University of Strasbourg), PhD (2011, Molecular and Cellular Biology), Master's (2007, Environmental Geosciences), Bachelor's (2005, Biology). Key research grants include ANR-funded dehalofluidX (2017-2020) and MAD (2017-2018). She has mentored over 15 students and serves on multiple thesis committees. Teaching spans genomics, molecular ecology, and biotechnology at the University of Strasbourg and Luxembourg. Awards include the 2016 CNRS recruitment campaign recognition and the 2011 Région Alsace PhD Award. Her lab investigates microbial community dynamics using integrated omics, with applications in wastewater treatment, bioremediation, and environmental stress responses. Recent work focuses on predicting microbial community behavior under dynamic environmental conditions.
