Professor Cemil Aydoğan serves as a full Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Bingol University since 2023, following promotions from Associate Professor (2017-2023) and Assistant Professor (2014-2017). His academic journey includes a postdoctoral position at Oklahoma State University (2014-2015) and research assistantships at Hacettepe University in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Current institutional affiliations include editorial roles as Guest Editor for Molecules , Topic Editor for Frontiers in Chemistry , and Handling Editor for BMC Chemistry . His research focuses on advancing nano-liquid chromatography and capillary electrochromatography techniques, particularly through innovative monolithic stationary phases incorporating nanomaterials like graphene oxide and fumed silica. Key application areas include: Chiral separation of pharmaceutical compounds and biomarkers Proteomics analysis for food authentication (honey, milk, pistachios) Development of specialized columns for exosome analysis and antibiotic residue detection Integration of nano-LC with high-resolution mass spectrometry for complex sample analysis Professor Aydoğan's scientific contributions are recognized through three major awards and extensive service as a referee for over 40 analytical chemistry journals. His funding profile includes research grants supporting international collaboration and conference participation, with recent projects focusing on foodomics and pharmaceutical analysis. He maintains active supervision of graduate students, with three Master's theses completed between 2019-2024 focusing on nano-LC applications in food analysis. His laboratory capabilities center on custom monolithic column fabrication, nano-LC system optimization, and advanced data analysis for separation science.
