Ningyuan Cao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, College of Engineering. He leads the Circuit and System Intelligence Research Lab , focusing on the intersection of advanced hardware design and real-time/low-power machine learning applications. Recent publications highlight work on Bayesian neural networks , privacy-preserving bio-signal encoders , transformer-based surrogate models , and compute-in-memory architectures .
