Rogelio Hernández-López is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at Stanford University, with a joint affiliation in Genetics. He joined Stanford's Bioengineering Department following a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), where he focused on Synthetic Biology and Immune Engineering. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Harvard University (2015) and a B.S. in Chemistry from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (2008). His research interests span interdisciplinary areas at the intersection of bioengineering and genetics, particularly leveraging synthetic biology tools for immune system modulation and advanced material design. The Hernández-López Lab at Stanford is actively engaged in developing novel strategies for therapeutic applications in precision medicine and biomaterials.
