Jen Blazina is a Professor and Screenprinting/Printmaking Area Coordinator at Drexel University's Westphal College of Media Arts and Design. She is a renowned sculptor and printmaker who primarily works with glass as her medium, specializing in cast glass and screenprinting techniques. Blazina's artistic practice explores themes of memory, heirlooms, and the transformation of commonplace possessions into meaningful artworks. Her work often re-creates and casts momentos in glass and metal, transforming their history through her artistic voice. She has developed specialized techniques in alternative printmaking on glass that have been featured in workshops worldwide. Her work is included in prestigious collections such as the Corning Museum of Glass, Neuberger Museum of Art, Imagine Museum, and Cranbrook Museum of Art. Blazina has received numerous prestigious residencies including at the Corning Museum of Glass, Toledo Museum of Art, Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, and the Creative Glass Center of America. She is represented by several prominent galleries including Habatat Galleries in Royal Oak, MI; Blue Spiral 1 in Asheville, NC; Koelsch Gallery in Houston, TX; and the Corning GlasMarket in Corning, NY. Her recent work demonstrates continued innovation in glass casting and printmaking techniques with a focus on memory narratives and material transformation. She holds an M.F.A. in printmaking from Cranbrook Academy of Art, a B.F.A. cum laude from SUNY Purchase College, and a B.A. in Art History and Fine Arts from Sarah Lawrence College. Her international residencies and exhibitions demonstrate her significant contribution to the global glass art community.
