Aysha Hidayatullah is an Associate Professor in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of San Francisco's College of Arts & Sciences. She teaches undergraduate courses focusing on gender, sexuality, race, ethics, and religious studies within Islamic traditions. She also examines literary representations of Muslims, particularly through feminist theological frameworks and methodologies in Islamic studies. Key themes in her publications include interfaith collaboration , Qur'anic hermeneutics , and gendered narratives in Islamic history .
