Dr. Pranav Sharda is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford. He holds a PhD from IIT Delhi and an M.Tech. (Gold Medalist) from Guru Nanak Dev University. His affiliations include the Hub of All-Spectrum Connectivity (HASC), UK, and he is a Fellow of the Optical Society of India (OSI). Dr. Sharda specializes in optical wireless communications, vehicular networks, and modeling techniques for communication systems. Education: PhD (IIT Delhi), M.Tech. (Guru Nanak Dev University) Affiliations: University of Oxford, HASC, OSI Reviewer Roles: IEEE Conferences/Journals (GLOBECOM, WCNC, ISIT, etc.) His research focuses on indoor/outdoor optical wireless systems, RF communications, MIMO systems, and next-generation intelligent transportation systems. Key areas include FSO systems, vehicular VLC, and diversity-multiplexing tradeoffs in challenging environments like atmospheric turbulence and mobility. His work addresses practical constraints such as dirty headlights, channel misalignment, and quantized feedback mechanisms. Recent articles highlight advancements in IRS-assisted UAV FSO systems, vehicular VLC propagation modeling, and optimization of LTE spatial multiplexing. His contributions emphasize real-world applicability through rigorous modeling and performance analysis. Awards: Gold Medal (Guru Nanak Dev University), Top 3% UGC-NET Dr. Sharda collaborates on grants related to all-spectrum connectivity and has no listed advisees. His affiliations with HASC suggest involvement in interdisciplinary projects bridging optical and wireless domains. Research extends to labs focused on next-gen connectivity technologies, with future directions in intelligent transportation systems and robust vehicular communication under environmental challenges.
