Grzegorz Ostrowski is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science, Graphic Arts, and Architecture of the Vistula Academy of Finance and Business. He specializes in fine art photography and holds an M.A. degree. His professional background includes advertising photography for international agencies in Warsaw and Paris, alongside modeling experiences. He teaches courses such as Algraphy, Lithography, Serigraphy, Photography, and Alternative Graphic Techniques at his home institution, and contributes to postgraduate programs at the Kraków Academy for Art Dealers and Antiquarians. His research focuses on reconstructing 19th-century photographic techniques using antique equipment and promoting Pictorialism, an artistic photography movement from the late 19th century. He collaborates with institutions like the History Meeting House and the Museum of Warsaw on initiatives like the 'Living Museum of Photography,' co-led with Łukasz Gietka. Ostrowski also organizes workshops on alternative photographic techniques and participates in photography exhibitions and competitions, while actively engaging with the Institute of Noble Photographic Techniques Foundation in Warsaw. His teaching extends to schools such as the European Academy of Photography and the Warsaw School of Advertising, where he instructs on large-format and archaic photographic methods. He has co-organized photography exhibitions and auction events, showcasing his pictorialist works. The university’s projects, including his initiatives, are partially funded by the European Union. His contributions span academic and cultural sectors, blending practical artistic skills with historical preservation through his work in photographic techniques and museum collaborations.
