Feride Zeynep Güder is an Associate Professor at Uskudar University's Institute of Foreign Languages, Department of English Translation and Interpreting / New Media and Communication. She previously held positions at Trakya University (1997) and Istanbul Kültür University's Department of Foreign Languages (1998-2016), where she served in various administrative roles including coordinator and vice department head. She earned her BA in English Language Education from Atatürk University (1994), MA in English Language and Literature from Istanbul Culture University (2004), and PhD in Journalism from Istanbul University (2012) with a thesis titled "Political Humor in Political Communication: Analysis of Semih Balcıoğlu's Goodbye Istanbul Cartoons." Dr. Güder's research spans Augmented Intelligence, Algorithmic Management, Digital Media, Digital Humanities, Critical Digital Literacy, Critical AI Literacy, Political Communication, Technoculture, and Artificial Intelligence and Epistemology. Her work critically examines the intersection of digital technologies with human cognition, social structures, and political systems, particularly focusing on AI literacy, algorithmic governance, and the philosophical implications of emerging technologies. She investigates how digital transformations reshape human identity, communication, and knowledge production in contemporary society. Her publications demonstrate a strong focus on the philosophical dimensions of AI and digital media, with particular attention to the concept of 'digital pharmakon' - examining technology as both remedy and poison. She has published extensively on algorithmic culture, critical AI literacy, political epistemology, and the impact of neurotechnologies on society.
