About
Professor Zoran Ristovski is a faculty member at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), leading the School of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences within the Faculty of Science. His research focuses on Atmospheric Sciences, Aerosol Science, Air Quality, and Climate Change. He heads a research group comprising 2 academics, 3 postdoctoral fellows, and over 10 postgraduate students, with active projects at the Biofuels Engine Research Facility (BERF).
Education: Ph.D. (University of Belgrade), B.E. (Hons) (University of Belgrade). Key research areas include nanoparticle emissions from combustion engines, aerosol health effects, and climate impacts. Collaborations include Prof. Steven Bottle and A/Prof. Richard Brown.
Advisory roles and grants: Current supervision topics include aerosol phase states, coral reef preservation, and ROS monitoring. Completed supervisions span topics like aerosol toxicity and combustion emissions. Major grants include DP240100389 (Southern Ocean Aerosols) and DP210103284 (Aerosol Glassy States).
Labs/Teams: The International Laboratory for Air Quality & Health and BERF support his work on engine emissions, nanoparticle measurement tools, and aerosol-ROS interactions. His research bridges environmental science, engineering, and public health.
