About
Dr. Zoltan Erdelyi is Head of the Department of Solid State Physics at the University of Debrecen in Hungary. His research focuses on advanced materials synthesis and characterization, particularly nanomaterials, thin films, and nanostructured materials for technological applications. He specializes in atomic layer deposition (ALD) techniques and materials characterization using X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy.
Current research interests include:
- Inverse opal photonic crystals for photocatalysis
- Nanocomposite thin films for energy applications
- Surface engineering of functional materials
- ALD synthesis of advanced nanomaterials
His laboratory develops novel fabrication methods including plasma-enhanced ALD and solvothermal synthesis for creating functional nanomaterials with controlled optical, electrical, and catalytic properties.
