Zoi Rapti

Zoi Rapti is a Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, Department of Mathematics, Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology, and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Her research bridges applied mathematics and biological systems.

Research Interests: Zoi specializes in differential equations, mathematical biology, and modeling, with a focus on stability analysis of nonlinear systems, disease dynamics (including dengue and COVID-19), microbial communities, and gene regulatory networks. Her work integrates ecological and epidemiological frameworks with nonlinear dynamics and computational approaches.

Publications: Recent articles explore spatiotemporal disease patterns, phage-antibiotic synergy, mobility-driven epidemics, and vector competence in mosquitoes. These reflect interdisciplinary applications of mathematical modeling to public health, virology, and ecological systems.
