Zoe Jordan

Zoe Jordan is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Architecture, Oxford Brookes University. She is affiliated with the Centre for Development and Emergency Practice (CENDEP) and contributes to the Migration and Refugees Research Network.

• Lead researcher on EU migration policies in Jordan
• Co-investigator for ageing refugee studies in the UK
• Former humanitarian worker in DRC and Haiti

Her research focuses on forced migration, humanitarianism, and urban displacement, particularly examining refugee self-reliance, informal support networks, and migration policy intersections with education and employment.

Current supervision includes PhD candidates studying displacement-related education and livelihood challenges in Ethiopia. She teaches modules including Forced Migration, Protection and Humanitarianism and Humanitarian and Peacebuilding Programmes in Urban Conflicts.
