Dr. Zobia Jawed is a Part-Time Lecturer at McMaster University's School of Engineering Technology and a Senior Research Fellow in the Global Peace and Social Justice Program. She holds a Ph.D. from McMaster University, an M.Eng. from the University of Toronto, and an M.B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Her research focuses on environmental sustainability systems, with emphasis on:

- Water/wastewater treatment innovation
- Renewable energy integration
- Circular economy solutions
- SARS-CoV-2 tracking via wastewater systems
