Ziwei Wang is a Lecturer in Robotics at Lancaster University and co-theme lead of the Lancaster Intelligent, Robotic and Autonomous Systems Centre (LIRA). He holds a Ph.D. in Automation from Tsinghua University and previously worked as a Research Associate at Imperial College London's Department of Bioengineering before joining Lancaster.
Research Focus: Teleoperation systems, human sensorimotor augmentation, AI-based telerobotics, haptic interaction, and control technologies for extreme environments. His work addresses challenges in remote surgery, space robotics, and nuclear decommissioning through prescribed-performance control, reinforcement learning, and fuzzy modeling.
