Dr Zina Ibrahim is a Senior Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence in Medicine at King's College London, affiliated with the Department of Biostatistics & Health Informatics within the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience. She joined King's College in 2011 as a Postdoctoral Researcher and transitioned to her current position in 2016. Her academic background includes a BSc in Software Engineering (2003), an MSc (2004), and a PhD (2010) in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Windsor, Canada.
Her research focuses on theoretical foundations of knowledge representation and machine learning applied to biomedical knowledge discovery and medical decision support systems. Key areas include neurosymbolic AI, trustworthiness in medical AI, and EHR analysis. Notable projects include the myHealthE remote monitoring system and the SemEHR semantic search framework.
