About
Dr. Zihan Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at UT Arlington, specializing in space physics and geospace modeling. His research combines numerical simulations and machine learning to study magnetosphere-ionosphere-thermosphere coupling and space weather phenomena.
He directs multiple NSF-funded projects investigating plasma bubbles, hemispheric asymmetries in thermospheric composition, and global TEC forecasting. His lab develops coupled models and ML approaches to advance space weather prediction capabilities.
