Zhiyi Zhang is an Associate Professor at Paris-Saclay University (UVSQ Campus) since September 2025, where he leads research in the DAVID Laboratory's Next-Generation Networks (NGN) team under Prof. Nadjib Aitsaadi. Previously, he served as a postdoctoral researcher at Inria Agora (March-August 2025), completed his PhD at INSA Lyon/Inria Agora (September 2021-January 2025), and worked as a research engineer at Inria Agora/INSA Lyon (December 2020-August 2021).

Research Interests: Dr. Zhang specializes in mobile network innovation, focusing on LLM-driven configuration systems, observability frameworks, and energy-efficient cellular infrastructures. His work bridges theoretical optimization with practical implementations in self-deployable networks, movable base station architectures, and sustainable 5G/6G solutions. Current projects integrate AI techniques to enhance network resilience and resource management in dynamic environments.
Research Funding: His doctoral research was supported by the ANR JCJC DEMON project, while his postdoctoral work received funding from PEPR NF (Future Networks) and PC JEN (Just Enough Networks) initiatives.
Professional Leadership: He serves as Web Chair for GDR RSD events, Demo & Poster Co-Chair for GIIS 2026, and TPC member for ACM S3 Workshop 2023. Additional roles include organizing the Agora Reading Club and maintaining GDR RSD's digital infrastructure as Webmaster since December 2022.
