Zhao Ren

Zhao Ren is an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Pittsburgh's Dietrich School. He earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from Yale University (2014) and holds an M.A. in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Mathematics from Nanjing University. His research focuses on high-dimensional statistical inference, robust statistics, graphical models, and applications in genomics and protein structure modeling. He has expanded into deep neural networks and privacy-preserving methods. He serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Business & Economic Statistics, Electronic Journal of Statistics, and Statistica Sinica.
