Zeynep Yanasmayan

Zeynep Yanasmayan is a Researcher at the Institut für Sozialwissenschaften (Institute of Social Sciences) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, specializing in Constitutional Politics in Turkey. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences from KU Leuven (2013), an MScEcon in Security and Citizenship from Aberystwyth University (2007), an MA in European Studies from ULB (2005), and a BA in Political Science from Boğaziçi University (2004). Her research focuses on migration, citizenship policies, religion's role in politics, and governance of diversity, particularly Turkish minorities in Europe.

Key professional experiences include roles as Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Ethnic and Religious Diversity (2013–2014), Scientific Project Manager for the EU's RELIGARE project (2012–2013), and Postdoctoral Researcher at the European University Viadrina (2014–2015). She has contributed to projects on religious diversity in Europe, including co-editing *Belief, Law and Politics: What Future for Secular Europe?* (2014).
