Zeeshan Ahmed

Dr. Zeeshan Ahmed serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Tenure Track) at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he concurrently holds a Core Member position at the Rutgers Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research and is affiliated with the Department of Medicine – Division of General Internal Medicine under Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS). His work integrates advanced data science with biological research to transform precision medicine through personalized therapeutic approaches.

His research program centers on precision medicine innovation, leveraging bioinformatics, genomics, and artificial intelligence to address critical challenges in healthcare. Key specializations include sequence-based genomic data analysis, clinical variant interpretation, and the development/validation of evidence-based diagnostic and predictive models. This work aims to establish genetic-driven treatment frameworks that significantly enhance patient outcomes and medical decision-making processes.

As an engaged alumnus of the University of Wuerzburg, Dr. Ahmed actively mentors students in career development and scientific research, particularly guiding them in precision medicine, bioinformatics, genomics, and artificial intelligence applications. He emphasizes the strategic value of international experience and interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing medical education and research innovation.
