Zeena Sanders

Zeena Sanders is a Research Fellow (Post-doc) in the FMRIB Plasticity Group at the University of Oxford's Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, supervised by Prof. Heidi Johansen-Berg and Dr. Cassandra Sampaio-Baptista. Her research examines how real-time fMRI neurofeedback can modify brain activity and structure to enhance perception, learning, and motor rehabilitation after brain injury.

Research Focus: Her work bridges neuroimaging and clinical applications, investigating cortical reorganization mechanisms in sensorimotor systems. Previous research analyzed somatosensory cortex adaptations following pharmacologically induced deafferentation, demonstrating expertise in neuroplasticity measurement and intervention design.
