Zdravko Ranisavljević (born October 23, 1981 in Sremska Mitrovica) serves as Assistant Professor of Ethnomusicology at the Department of Ethnomusicology, Faculty of Music, University of Belgrade, where he has been employed since October 2010. He holds a master’s degree from the same department (2008) and is completing his doctoral studies.
His research focuses on ethnochoreology and applied ethnomusicology, particularly traditional dance revitalization and folk music arrangement. As President of the Center for Research and Revitalization of Traditional Dances of Serbia, he edits music and dance for seminars while directing folk orchestras for prominent cultural-artistic societies including Stanko Paunović in Pančevo and Kosta Abrašević in Bačka Palanka.
His scholarly contributions include multiple papers presented at ethnochoreological symposiums domestically and internationally. He actively participates in EU cultural projects and serves as a research assistant for the Serbian National Ensemble Kolo.
- Recipient of over a dozen gold plaques and special prizes for music arrangement at choreographed folklore festivals
Professionally affiliated with ICTM and ICKL, he has represented Serbian ethnochoreological practices at international symposiums since 2006. His pedagogical work includes teaching Folk Dance at Mokranjac Music School (2004-2015) and advising EU cultural initiatives.
