Zaker Ahmad

Zaker Ahmad is an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Chittagong and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Georg-August University in Göttingen, funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He earned his Dr. iur. (2020) from the World Trade Institute (WTI), with LLB and LLM degrees from the University of Chittagong.

• Research Focus: WTO law, trade policy reform for low-carbon technology diffusion, dismantling market barriers, and the Common Concern of Humankind principle in global law.
• Awards: Alexander von Humboldt Foundation fellowship.
• Professional Experience: Former researcher for the EU-funded Bangladesh Trade Policy Support Program; currently involved in projects at WTI and Göttingen University.
