Zak Rowntree

Zak Rowntree is a Lecturer at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Edith Cowan University, and serves as Principal 2nd Violin of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. He also co-leads the Darlington String Quartet, contributing to its String Department.

Research & Creative Interests:As a violinist and chamber musician, Zak specializes in orchestral performance, contemporary music interpretation, and collaborative string ensemble work. His creative output includes recordings of James Ledger's compositions and contributions to film soundtracks like Tim Winton’s 'Breath.'
