Zach Campbell

Zach Campbell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Modern Languages at Farmingdale State College. He teaches Spanish and French language courses (SPA 141, 142, 243; FRE 101, 102) and Latin American literature through the lens of historical contexts.

• PhD in Spanish & Portuguese Literature from Rutgers University (2019)

His research focuses on close reading methodologies at the intersection of literary and historical analysis, particularly examining Mexican historical events through literary works. Recent publications include studies on:

• Apocalyptic themes in colonial Mexican literature
• Anarchist political discourse in early 20th century Latin America

Professor Campbell's work emphasizes connections between literary forms and socio-historical realities in Latin American contexts.
