Yvonne Shell

Yvonne Shell is an Associate Professor of Forensic Psychology at Kingston University's Department of Psychology within the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences. She serves as Course Director for the MSc in Forensic Psychology and acts as Module Leader for the 'Antisocial Behaviour across the Lifespan' component. Her academic career spans over three decades, focusing on postgraduate and doctorate-level programs, and she also works as an External Examiner for a Masters in Forensic Psychology at another institution.

• Expertise in offender populations, particularly regarding shame, moral injury, intimate partner violence, and sexual offending
• Collaboration with Metropolitan Police Service and HMPPS

Her groundbreaking research on Chemsex and crime led to the creation of the first Interpol notice, distributed to over 150 countries, enhancing global criminal justice responses. She has acted as Principal Investigator in HMPPS-funded projects, presented findings at international conferences, and provided clinical forensic consultation for high-risk case management.
