Yvette Langdon

Yvette Langdon serves as an Associate Professor of Biology at Millsaps College, instructing courses such as Anatomy and Physiology, Developmental Biology, and Reproductive Biology. Additionally, she directs the Self-Designed Major program and co-coordinates the Health Pathway within the Pathways initiative, assisting students in tailoring academic paths to their career goals and connecting them with resources for health-related professions.

Her educational qualifications comprise a Ph.D. in Cellular, Molecular, and Developmental Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. These credentials underpin her expertise in developmental and reproductive processes.

Dr. Langdon's research interests encompass Developmental Biology, Reproductive Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Nutrition. She investigates the structural and functional relationships in biological systems, with particular emphasis on embryonic development and reproductive mechanisms, while also innovating in pedagogical approaches for anatomy and physiology education.

Analysis of her recent publications reveals two primary trajectories: one in educational methodology for anatomy and physiology labs, and another in fundamental zebrafish developmental genetics.
