Yves Citton

Yves Citton is a Professor of Philosophy and Ethics of Technology at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC). He is qualified to direct research in both Philosophy (17th section of the CNU) and Epistemology and History of Science and Technology (72nd section of the CNU). His research integrates the international 'empirical turn' in the philosophy of technology, combining philosophical analysis with social studies of science and technology (STS).

He is affiliated with interdisciplinary teams such as CRED (Cognitive Research and Enactive Design) and CRI (Complexity, Networks, and Innovation) under Costech-UTC, focusing on topics including ecological thinking, cognitive capitalism, and the ethical implications of technological interventions in biological systems.
