Yuval Avnur

Yuval Avnur is a Professor of Philosophy at Scripps College and Director of the Humanities Institute. He is also an editor of Midwest Studies in Philosophy.

• Education: B.A. in Philosophy and Music Composition (UC Santa Barbara), Ph.D. in Philosophy (NYU)

Research Interests focus on Epistemology, Skepticism, and their intersections with Philosophy of Religion, Media Ethics, and Pascal's Philosophy. His work examines epistemic principles, afterlife debates, and ethical challenges in digital communication.

Article Trends span skepticism, epistemic closure, Pascal's philosophy, and social media ethics. His publications analyze historical and contemporary debates about knowledge, belief, and rationality.
