Yuting Yuan

Yuting Yuan is a Research Fellow at the Department of Philosophy, Classics, History of Art and Ideas within the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Oslo. She holds a Master's degree in Linguistics from University College London (2023-2024) and a Bachelor's degree in Norwegian from Beijing Foreign Studies University (2019-2023).

Her research interests include:

• Linguistics with specialized focus on Semantics and Pragmatics
• Gricean and post-Gricean theoretical frameworks
• Scalar implicature phenomena
• Human-LLM interaction dynamics

She actively participates in the research group "How do we understand machines that talk to us?", which investigates communication patterns between humans and large language models through empirical and theoretical linguistics approaches.
