Yuriy Zakharov

Dr. Yuriy Zakharov is a Reader in Electronic Engineering at the University of York's School of Physics, Engineering and Technology. With expertise in signal processing and communications, he leads research in underwater acoustic systems and adaptive algorithms.

Research Areas: Develops signal processing techniques for underwater communications, including full-duplex systems, adaptive filtering algorithms, and interference cancellation methods. Current projects involve underwater network discovery and target detection using acoustic communication links.

Professional Activities: Senior IEEE member, editorial board member for IET Signal Processing and IEEE Signal Processing Letters. Holds 20 patents in signal processing technologies.
